Current Winter Park Snow Report

 

Whether you’re a skier, snowboarder, or sightseer, there are many activities at Winter Park for everyone.

There just isn’t a mountain more inviting or varied than this.  Winter Park Resort offers something for everyone; from gentle groomed cruisers to short and sweet mogul runs to challenging terrain parks and a half pipe.  Winter Park Resort also features an award-winning learn-to-ski area, Discovery Park, and a new high-speed quad lift, the Eskimo Express. Snowcats offer tours of the mountain daily.  These 12-passenger, heated, enclosed vehicles leave from the base area and take you all over the mountain with several photo stops.  Reservations: (303) 892-0961

 

 

Snowmobiles are available in the Fraser Valley.  Tour the backcountry on guided and unguided tours.  Visit online or call Grand Adventures at (800) 726-9247.

 

Snowshoeing offers a unique way to explore the outdoors.  You’ll ride the ski lift and a guide will escort a small group down an established trail, pointing out natural wonders and scenic vistas.  Good physical condition and warm clothes are suggested.  Reservations:  (303) 892-0961 

 

 

Cross Country Skiing is available at the Devil’s Thumb Ranch.  There are miles of clearly marked, groomed, track skiing for every ability level.  Transportation available.  Information (970) 726-8231.

 

Dog Sled rides wind in and out of dense forest at speeds reaching 20 miles per hour. There are also plenty of view points where you get to see the Continental Divide, the Winter Park Ski Resort and surrounding peaks. An experienced musher will point out the various wildlife tracks in area including moose, fox, coyote and showshoe hare. There is even the possibility of spotting a live moose. There’s free, frequent shuttle service to the town of Winter Park.  Great Shopping and a variety of outstanding restaurants add to the charm and appeal of this mountain town.
